It’s been one helluva year for New York City drag performer and Billboard star Kevin Aviance.
Known for the underground cult hits "The Rhythm is my Bitch" and "Cunty," Aviance became an unlikely poster boy for acts of violence targeting gay men after four brutes beat the six-feet-two-inch diva to a bloody pulp outside of The Phoenix, a popular gay bar in NYC’s East Village.
"I care about everybody as much as I can, but honey when I tell you I almost lost my mind, I almost lost my mind," he remarks. "I just try to get up every morning and do my thing. That’s all I can do right now. I can only focus on today."
