Local Luke Verge makes finale of MTV's 'Bromance'

Adding fuel to an anonymous source claiming that local Luke Verge did win over Brody Jenner's affections to snag the ultimate BFF bragging rights on MTV's "Bromance," word from the show's hype machine is that Verge and his competitors--Femi and Chris--had to pass a lie detector test on the show's season finale airing 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2 on MTV.

According to the MTV release, "Brody will send one more person packing before he travels with the last two standing via private jet to their hometowns. Once there, he sets out to get a first-hand look at their lives through their families and friends so he can get the real deal on which of them is better at being a real friend."

Jenner made a pit stop at the Revolution Rock Bar in Boston on Thursday, Dec. 9 while the was still filming--and likely made the trek to Medford--which supports the online rumors that Verge does make it all the way ... at least as one of the final two.

The winner receives keys to a luxury downtown LA bachelor pad and a brand-new Toyota Scion.

Nicole, a Loaded Gun reader, says the anticipation is too much. "I'm a good friend of Luke's and I have no idea if he won or not, " she writes here. "He's not telling any of us how the show ends. It's killing me not to know."

Verge, a self-described "designated party animal" and 24-year-old substitute elementary school teacher originally from Medford currently living in Las Vegas, says his stint on reality TV in Los Angeles is a far cry from his life growing up in Medford.

"I mean the first night [we] were at a lingerie party with smoke-shows and taking limo rides. Back home I'm lucky to see half a nip from the drunk girl who fell over at the local dollar draft bar," Verge writes on his blog here.

Now, isn't that bromantic.

UPDATE: Medford's Luke Verge does win MTV's "Bromance." Get the lowdown here.
