Medford's Luke Verge wins MTV's 'Bromance'

Flying via private jet to Boston as one of two finalists, local Luke Verge did win over Brody Jenner's affections to snag the ultimate BFF bragging rights on MTV's "Bromance" unveiled on the show's season finale airing 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2.

As Jenner's new "bro," Verge receives keys to a luxury downtown LA bachelor pad and a brand-new Toyota Scion.

However, Jenner's trip to Boston to meet Verge's family--including a warm chat with mom Virginia--did have a few moments of drunken drama.

After playing stick ball on the streets of Medford and chowing down on a plateful of lobster with a bib-wearing Jenner, the boys including finalist Femi head to Bocelli's Restaurant, 374 Main St. in Medford.

At Bocelli's, one of Verge's so-called friends steps up and attacks Jenner spewing things like, "I wanna know about LC," "Where is Spencer?" and "Shut up pretty boy."

Jenner responds to the drunken bar brawl: "These dudes were acting like I walked in the bar with a Yankees jersey on."

Last June, casting directors from executive producer Ryan Seacrest's camp were cruising Boston's Ned Devine's at Quincy Market in Faneuil Hall searching for some fresh meat with a Boston accent. Verge, who attended the casting call on a whim, made the cut.

In the last scene that oddly echoed the finale of "The Bachelor," Verge pulls up in a black rental sporting a '70s-style powder blue tux and takes an elevator where he's greeted by Jenner and a group of partygoers.

Jenner's parting words: "Congratulations Luke, you are my bromance."

Now, where's the ring?

UPDATE: Verge watched the show finale at The Place, 2 Broad St. in the Financial District, where he stepped up as bartender for the evening. Meanwhile, Jenner was heading back to the Left Coast after partying with pals at the Super Bowl in Tampa.
