Expect some fireworks on Sandler's 'Grown Ups' set

Production is scheduled to heat up ... literally ... on the set of Adam Sandler's "Grown Ups" flick at Centennial Grove located at 30 Martin St. in Essex.

In fact, locals surrounding the Chebacco Lake area were given the heads up about several scenes scheduled to be shot at night.

While communication from the crew insists that the 95 percent of filming is schedule during weekdays, they warn via a flyer here that a few nighttime scenes are scheduled.

"Night work can create an unusually bright lighting condition around our set, which is located directly on the lake, so we would ask you to use caution near the set when boating during the evening," the flyer indicates.

Fireworks after the Fourth of July? Don't fret. Crews say "please don't be alarmed if you see them at some point after the actual Fourth of July holiday is over, and be aware that fireworks may continue until late on some nights."

The film "Grown Ups" is a comedy about five high school friends who reunite with their families during the summer at a lake house after 30 years apart and stars Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, David Spade, Salma Hayek, Maria Bello and Maya Rudolph.

As previously reported in Loaded Gun, a source says "Grown Ups" will splish-splash its way in August to Water Wizz of Cape Cod, a family-themed fun park located at 3031 Cranberry Hwy. in East Wareham.
