After spending the last few weeks at the posh Mandarin Oriental Boston located at 776 Boylston, word on the street is that the actor is on the hunt for temporary digs away from the inner-city while filming the "Wichita" spy flick with Cameron Diaz.
Apparently, the droves of out-of-state paparazzi flown in from Los Angeles and NYC have been following the actor's every move and he's looking for something a bit more private.
An inside source says Cruise left the South Boston set at the Boston Fire Museum (
Since principal filming for "Wichita" kicked off on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at the Worcester Regional Airport, Cruise has been spotted around town with wife Katie Holmes jogging along the Esplanade, shopping on Newbury Street, kayaking down the Charles River, dining with son Connor at Abe & Louie's and soaking in the sounds of U2 at Gillette Stadium.
Holmes, who wrapped filming in Melbourne, Australia and boarded the family's private jet with daughter Suri en route to Boston on Saturday, Sept. 21, ended up leaving Boston last week after she and her daughter were followed by photographers after leaving their Mandarin Oriental apartment.
The actress returned with Suri on Tuesday, Sept. 29 and did some shopping on Boylston Street and then headed to the Charles River.
