'Zookeeper' filming lights up Copley Square area

As soon as Ben Affleck wrapped a scene for "The Town" in front of the fountain near Trinity Church in Copley Square, crews with the Adam Sandler-produced flick "Zookeeper" set up shop on Friday, Oct. 2 inside the upscale Italian eatery Sorellina located at 1 Huntington Ave. and outside of the upscale Fairmont Copley Plaza.

Designers orchestrated dramatic lighting in the area which lit up the Boston Public Library and Old South Church located at 645 Boylston Street.

"Kevin James just left his trailer on a Segway en route to the set wearing a suit coat and blue Adidas track pants. Good look," tweets Loaded Gun Boston reader Matt Raymond.

James was joined on set by Rosario Dawson, playing the smart zoo veterinarian Kate, and Leslie Bibb, James' on-screen ex. In addition to his trademark Segway from "Paul Blart: Mall Cop," James was spotted near a souped up King Cobra (pictured below) in front of the Fairmont Copley Plaza. Production is slotted to continue until the wee hours of Saturday, Oct. 3.

On Thursday, Oct. 1, "Zookeeper"filmed scenes at 20 Taft St., a traditional triple-decker home in North Dorchester. On Monday, Sept. 28, James and co-star Bibb were riding a horse together on Crane Beach located in Ipswich on the North Shore.

"Zookeeper" follows James as a zoo caretaker who consults with the animals in an attempt to learn their methods of dating and mating to help him win back Bibbs' character Stephanie.
