Bulls gone wild on 'Knight & Day' film set in Spain

A pack of seven bulls used on the overseas set of the made-in-Boston spy flick "Knight & Day," starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, broke free in Cadiz, Spain on Sunday, Nov. 22 and injured two female bystanders, according to reports here.

Cruise, who wrapped filming in Boston last week and boarded a private jet and headed to Salzburg, Austria where he's filming a motorcycle stunt scene, wasn't on the Spain set nor was his co-star Diaz. However, they were slotted to film a scene next weekend in Cadiz. According to the report, filming was suspended after the incident.

Meanwhile, the James Mangold action comedy faced some scrutiny from Austrian filmmakers who protested a $448,455 incentive greenlit for the "Knight & Day" movie from Salzburg authorities. In response to the backlash, the Austrian shoot has been cut from three weeks to seven days.

In "Knight & Day," Cruise and Cameron Diaz have a glamorous and sometimes deadly adventure, where nothing and no one--even the now fugitive couple--are what they seem.

Amid shifting alliances and unexpected betrayals, they race across the globe, with their survival ultimately hinging on the battle of truth versus trust. "Knight & Day" is slotted to hit theaters on July 2, 2010.

Co-stars include Peter Sarsgaard (“An Education”) as a federal agent relentlessly pursuing the couple; Viola Davis (“Doubt”) as a CIA director trying to decipher the true purpose of their high-wire activities; Paul Dano (“There Will Be Blood”) as an eccentric genius behind a revolutionary technology; and Olivier Martinez (“Unfaithful”) as a ruthless arms manufacturer. Also co-starring are Maggie Grace (“Taken”) and Marc Blucas (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”).
