Want a piece of Watertown-bred actress Eliza Dushku? The "Dollhouse" actress is auctioning off a bevy of items from her closet to benefit Camp Hale, a local non-profit group responsible for sending low-income kids from Boston to camp at Squam Lake in New Hampshire.
Items include Dushku's "Buffy" crew jacket signed by show creator Joss Whedon and her director's chair used during the filming of the Fox TV show "Dollhouse."
"Someone's waiting 'til the lasssst minute to dive into my bathrobe on eBay, no doubt," she tweets here. "Keep on shoppin', I'll keep checking in."
Dushku was in Boston last June filming the indie flick "Valediction" with "Prince Caspian" hottie Ben Barnes and veteran actress Brenda Fricke.
The premise of the film? When a car accident leaves a father fighting for his daughter’s life, his journey for the pieces of the puzzle that will save her lead him to discover it's actually his life that he is fighting for. In the film, Dushku plays Ben Barnes' lover. The father is married and cheats on his wife with Dushku.
Up next for Dushku is the biopic called "The Perfect Moment" on iconic photographer Robert Mapplethorpe, who died of AIDS in 1989 at age 42 before posthumously snagging national headlines in the '90s for his highly stylized black-and-white portraits of naked men and oddly erotic flowers.
Mapplethorpe's collection, which featured homoerotic shots of naked men performing various S&M acts involving whips and leather, was supported by the National Endowment for the Arts and sparked a national debate on public funding for the arts.
