Word is that Affleck, who was sporting a Boston Police Department uniform, handpicked local TV traffic and entertainment reporter, Doug Meehan, to play ... no surprise here ... a TV reporter in the re-shoots on Friday.
Affleck, playing Boston's most wanted bank robber, is both directing and starring in the film following a love triangle involving a crook, a bankteller and a FBI agent. "The Town" also stars Jon Hamm who becomes smitten with a female bank employee, played by "Frost/Nixon" and "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" actress Rebecca Hall.
Blake Lively, known as Serena van der Woodsen from "Gossip Girl," is playing Affleck's troubled ex-girlfriend Krista. Jeremy Renner, who won over critics with his role in the Oscar winner "The Hurt Locker," stars as Lively's brother and Affleck's partner in crime.

I am dying to see a trailer of this movie... it is about time! This is Affleck's first full-fledged leading role in about 6 years (since he has been trying to keep a low profile) and I think it is going to be a big hit. It will probably end up being one of Affleck's best projects.
