'Twilight Saga: New Moon' event hitting Natick mall

The “Twilight" madness continues on Thursday, Nov. 12 where die-hard fans can participate in "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" event at the Natick Collection's Hot Topic and Nordstrom located at 1245 Worcester St.

Similar to the scream fest last year in Saugus with Robert Pattinson, fans who acquire VIP credentials on Saturday, Oct. 31 will be granted access to the meet and greet with select cast members. The Natick mall event will feature performances from artists from the film's soundtrack.

Also, "New Moon" cast members Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz will be making an appearance at Nordstrom Natick Collection.

In the "New Moon" film slotted to hit theaters on Nov. 20, the romance between mortal and vampire soars to a new level as Bella Swan (Stewart) delves deeper into the mysteries of the supernatural world she yearns to become part of—only to find herself in greater peril than ever before.

Following Edward Cullen’s (Pattinson) departure from Forks, Washington , Bella discovers his image comes to her whenever she puts herself in jeopardy. In time Bella’s frozen heart is gradually thawed by her budding relationship with Jacob Black (Lautner) who has a supernatural secret of his own.

Robert Pattinson's 'Twilight' is hot topic in Saugus

As a reformed "Interview with the Vampire" junkie still in recovery from an unhealthy obsession with Anne Rice, I thought my taste for blood would wane over time.

Not lately.

Don't tell a soul but I'm smitten with Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" book series. In fact, I got a little weak when I heard that Edward Cullen (played by Robert Pattinson) is making a guest appearance at Hot Topic at Square One Mall in Saugus on Friday, Nov. 14 at 6 p.m.

One caveat: You have to be one of the first 500 customers to snag the $30 "Twilight" tour T-shirt at Hot Topic this Friday to get a wristband. No shirt, no access.

While I'll probably not make the trek to Saugus this weekend, odds are good I'll be first in line when "Twilight" hits theaters on Friday, Nov. 21.

UPDATE: At least one teen was hurt at a San Francisco mall on Monday, Nov. 10 after a huge mob of roughly 3,000 teens prompted cops to cancel Robert Pattinson's scheduled appearance at the Stonestown Galleria Hot Topic. On Wednesday, Nov. 12, more Pattinson mania at the Orland Square Mall near Chicago.

Meanwhile, hundreds lined up overnight on Friday, Nov. 14 in the rain in Saugus according to the Herald here for VIP access to the meet-and-greet session with Pattinson.
